Too Sweet to taste-Pune

In my earlier college life, in the hot state of Andhra Pradesh, precisely in the naxal infected town of Warangal, the taste of food was right upto the manageable limits( in places around the college and even in the college mess and canteen).

Andhra food is known for its spicy and hot nature(also the summer there, not the girls), but RECW was a shade away. The food in a couple of places in Warangal were real hot and spicy to the extent of one remembering the real heat the next day morning….

But Pune is far away, is distance in taste is measured prolly light years. Here everything is sweet, from Chicken curry to PBM(Paneer Butter Masala)…. I don’t feel that I have had food unless it is hot and spicy.

I just had a sweet PBM, tried my level best pouring in all the peper powder that was kep on the table and still I was missing the real heat….

U gotta be sweet as they say, but curries needn’t be….

2 UN { 06.20.05 at 10:52 pm }: If you get time, go to Madhuban on Dhole Patil Road and try the Palak Cream there. It is not too sweet but that is how I started eating Palak

Oh ya and then you can surely visti Koregaon park after the lunch.
