Ha HA. You are culturally shocked bcos u r from kerala dude. You have been living under a rock(well kerala is that I guess) if you haven’t seen gals in south indian cities drink, smoke and partay. I am not sure where you’ve been to in bangalore and chennai, but you definitely haven’t been to the right places. Damn, comparing the crowd at the freshers party at a tier 2 B-school to that of bangalore/chennai party circles … ridiculous.

hey nikhil my comment at last……..awesome musings man. -that was mah reaction after reading ur latest post.
well all i can say is “welcome to the b-school life”[not that i have been here very long...]
and get used to the sweating man
and im sure u aint tagging the southie gals to be savithris and the northies as watever,so chillax saurabh dude,im sure u can get ur extra miles with the gals in some other discussion.

u dont mean north n south-u probably mean nammude tvm vs rest of india.
its also interesting to note that half d bskool junta is frm RECs n IITs.they cant have changed in the 2 months b/w 8th semester b tech and 1st semester MBA
lots more on RECs and national ‘dis’integration later.

An absolutely hypocritical ,sexist piece if there ever was one.
My enlightened roomate , who was dancing and ogling away with ecstacy evident on his face (he had made grandiose plans of shooting all the happenings in the party which were drifting towards the intimate.
Thankfully our 3rd rommie refused to lend his digital cam and be a part of this nonsense!),discovers his loss of calories and his sense of southerness !!
Pray what is wrong with a female drinking when it is ok for his southie male friends to do the same? Does he not realise that it is a lifestyle and class barrier which he needs to get used to ,not some imaginary line which divides the girls of our country as southern savitris and northern whatevers. And one needs to remind the poor fellow that the diff between an REC and a b-school are the fees ….both legal and illegal of course !
